What with all the questions I answer every day, having 4 children of my own and being a granny, the one thing I’ve learnt is that no two babies are the same! Yet some tips and tricks can work so it’s always worth talking through anything you’re struggling with. Being able to pass on my experience to the mums who I speak to is really satisfying.

My top tips

  • Catch up on sleep whenever you can – leave the housework to someone else.
  • If you have an unsettled or unhappy baby, get help!
  • A good bedtime routine is important for a good night’s sleep.

About me

I was convinced with all 4 of my pregnancies that they would be boys – I’d even picked out their names. But Mother Nature had other plans and I ended up with all girls! I breastfed all four of my children until they were over a year old, and making sure they got a balanced diet once they were on solids was really important to me too. One of my daughters would have lived on sweets if I’d let her, so I was always finding new ways to make all types of food appetising.
