OH MY!
YES, i have a daughter who is coming up to 3 in november and i am hating it trying to get her into knickers!!! STRESS!
i put her in knickers she will wear them but will not go to the loo or sit on her potty and have a wee or a poo so she is doing it in her knickers!!!
i hate it i really do my partner gets really stressed because she must go through 10 pairs of knickers a day, i am forever washing knickers! lol
so i just bought them training pants for her then if she haves an accident then at least it can be thrown away.
but she still wont use the toilet, the potty i caught her playing with behind the sofa so i know she knows what its for she just wont use it yet.
i talked to midwife about it because i pregnant with my second and she said it will take time she will do it when shes ready but try not to force her into doing it otherwise she wont do it at all.
so i have got to be patient with her and hopefully she does it before christmas because if not she will not be able to go to nursery.
but i know how you feel love trust me just be patient love im sure he will go to the toilet, i hope he does anyway!

Good luck! Speak to your health visitor. Sometimes boys are just slower at being dry than girls tend to be so don't measure against other peoples kids. Also is he dry during the day? Is he settled or has his routine changed lately? 2 is still fairly young to be dry at night so don't despair or give up.
There are clinics but they won't see your child until he is at least 7 years old. I have a son turning 13 next month and he is still wet every night. Its testing but you just have to persevere it will happen when the child is ready. My other son was dry at 2 1/2 with the odd mishap if over tired or ill etc.

Ask other mums- especially those with older children- your get a very varied response as to the age that their children were dry at night- and it varies from siblings too. If you are worried speak to your doctor or health visitor. There is a special clinic, to help children, who are late getting dry at night. My son finaly stopped at 12. My other children were dry at night at 3 years, but there was the occasional mishap.
Good luck,
Ps the lifting method is ok, they do go back to sleep- you just have to 'wake' them gently and they sort of sleep walk to the loo.

Hiya. Is your litle boy dry through the day then? My son is 3 now and only started being dry through the day at 2years 9months. We have yet to tackle him being dry at night and at the moment he still wears a nappy to bed. Our problem is that he likes a drink to go to bed with. I believe that 2 years old is still relatively young for a child to be dry at night. As far as I am aware health visitors dont expect children to be dry until nearly 4 so I dont think you have anything to worry about at the moment. I know that some poeple suggest "lifting" where I think you are meant to wake your child when you go to bed and get them to use the toilet so hopefully they dont wet the bed etc. This idea doesnt appeal to me much as like you my boy sleeps through the night and im worried that this will encourage him to wake and he may not go back to sleep.
Good luck with it all x

My little girl is 3, has been dry through the day for about 6 months now (since 2 and half) however her pull up can be very full every morning, im in no rush to get get her completely dry at night but i make sure she has a wee on toilet as she goes to bed, when she wakes in the night and when she wakes first thing. Which does reduce amount in nappy and good practice for her.
Try not to stress as he will pick up on it and good luck x
