Is it just me or Did you drift apart from alot of friends because they didn't have kids themselves yet acted like one?
Im 24 weeks pregnant - 6 months.
Well this was my case, id just finished my degree and i fell pregnant with my first child everything is perfect but my friends still go out and get drunk and i guess we drifted apart, well this is basically me, now i have alot of friends from travelling to other parts of the country, wales, canada, somerset.. But obviously i live in the city in peterborough so its too far other than social networking! I'm just wondering is there anyone in peterborough feeling like making new friends!!?

You really find out who your true friends are once you have a baby. Also, its just easier (and often more fun!) to relate to people who have kids - they understand what youre going through and you can have a laugh with them. I'd rather that than the glazed looks I used to get from the childfree friends when I would talk about my daughter and related issues - usually bored glazed looks. Try and join some clubs specifically for mums-to-be and new mums and take it from there. Im only sorry I dont live in Peterborough otherwise I would love to meet up and make a new friend. Take care.

hi i do not live i peterborough but i can really relate to how you are feeling, my husband and me are the only people out of our group of friends to have started a family, now it seems a lot of our once close friends have drifted apart its like they forget we exsist, are there any mums to be groups where you live i say this because you may make friends by joining one. best of luck

Same with me i had a lot off supposedly friends before i had kids they all drift away and don't bother too contact you there honestly not worth it. I don't bother with any off them now and they don't with me so im really in the same boat. You will find a true friend in the end.
