I have got a 15 month gap between my girls, you cope, i am tired, the 6 week old still thinks night is day and the 17 month old is up all day so no time for sleep, but they are great, it is a juggling act for a bit just getting things sorted, i bought a Phil and teds pushchair for my youngest because i new i wanted a close gap, it is pretty good, it is heavy but not wide like the others, i haven't used it a lot yet, i have the baby in a sling and a cheep pushchair for G, my labour was quite long second time, she didn't want to come out, but i found it easier, and my body got better quicker after, i also couldn't wait to meet her so that got me through, i think compared to mummyKez20 and Sain22 i have had it easy, good luck to you all xxx

i was actually looking into getting a buggy board but i cant trust my 2 year old to stay on it he is too inquisative i think the word is so his attension span lasts about 2 minutes lol i did actually find this seat that clips onto the side of the pram its called a smorph i think but with my loola being quite wide as it is i ditched that idea. but if you can trust your eldest to stay on the board that would be alot cheaper than a double because you wont be using a double for that long xx anyway i know you have a long way to go yet before you need one so all the luck with your pregnancy and birth xx lets hope keeley doesnt start terrible twos early like mine did!! lol xx

Have you thought about buying one of those buggy boards? They clip on the back of most normal pushchairs/prams and you can get ones that just have a step or ones that have a seat aswell. They arent that expensive and probably alot cheaper than investing in a whole new double buggy. The only problem with them I think is that they make you walk abit funny with your backside sticking out because you cant get that close to the pram but could be another option to consider. I wish you all the best x

well i bought a loola pram and all the gadgets for it thinkin my 2 year old would be fine walking but have now begun to regret buyin it as i ideally need a double because he still needs his sleep in the day and wen i walk somewhere its quite far for his little legs to go lol so i have to wait for someone to be free until i take them out together so i can take both pushchairs. im only 5"1 lol and i have found a really nice double buggy in mothercare its brown and cream with bits of green on and some little flowers at the moment its _180 originally _210 im hoping to get this one its small like a normal buggy really just a little bit longer i like them sort of doubles because all the others all look too big and bulky. hope this helps x x x

thankyou so much for your answers, i dont know why im worrying i just didnt expect to get pregnant this quick, it took ages (years) to fall pregnant with my lil one keeley, so it has come quite a shock to be pregnant again this quick, my labour was really good it was only an hour but just the thought of doing it again going through something you have no control over is so scary for me. Oh mummykez20 did you have to buy one of those double buggys??? im dreading one of those, there so big im only 5'2 and i dont think i'll be able to see over it,hahahahahah!!!! well thanks again sian22 and mummykez20.

Hiya, ive not been in your position although I did want around a two year age gap between my children which unfortunately I didnt eget due to having a miscarriage. I now have a 3 year old and an 8 week old. I think being pregnant with your second child is always going to be harder than with your first (especially if your child is still quite young) because you cant rest as much as you might have done when pregnant the first time. I found it hard because my 3 year old seemed to have so much energy and really tired me out especially towards the end. I want to echo what mummykez20 said aswell though about the labour as I had quite a rough time with my first child but with my second I was only in labour for 6 hours and didnt even want to go to hospital as I wasnt sure I was definately in labour. I had my daughter with only gas and air and was only in hospital 2 and a half hours before she was born and I was home the next day. The whole experience was alot better and would even go as far as to say enjoyable so hopefully you will find labour second time around better aswell.
I wish you all the best for the future and would just advise you to take every day as it comes, accept help from people when you are tired and just remember you will have good days and bad days but you will a lovely new baby, a little brother or sister for your child and a new addition to your family.
Good luck xx

Misbah Rasul, try not to worry. I didnt have forceps with my first but he was delivered by ventouse after I was induced. Because of this they cut me so I had stitches which were really painful when they were healing. When I found out I was pregnant again I was adamant I wasnt going to be induced as I beleived this had contributed to needing the ventouse. I made my feelings clear to my midwife from very early on. I was also worried that I would be more likely to tear where the scar was from my first birth but my midwife assured me this was highly unlikely. As it was I was lucky and went into labour naturally on my due date. I was only in labour for 6 hours, had only gas and air and had no intervention. My daughter was born 9lb 2 and a hald oz's (so not a small baby) and I delivered her without needing forceps/ventouse and didnt tear at all. Apparantly I had a small graze. The whole experience was so much better than by sons birth. You didnt mention in your message whether you had an epidural or not but I know alot of people who have been induced and had epidurals to help with the pain and ended up having either forceps/ventouse deliveries due to not feeling contractions and not being able to push properly. This was the case for me and was why I didnt want to be induced. I felt that if I could go into labour naturally I would cope with the pain better and not have to have an epidural and therefore have a better birth. This was the case for me. Good luck and try not to worry. Your second experience could be so different and so much better than the first x
