surprise arrival

Written on 21/10/2008 14:24:12 by

hi just wanted to share my story of my premuture son coming into the world.
well it was 7am on a sunday morning i was in bed i woke up thinkin i needed the toilet but when i sat up i couldnt hold it in so i ran to the toilet done wat a done then went bak to bed then it wouldnt stop then i relised my waters had broken at 33 weeks so i woke my ex-partner up to tell him but he thought i had just peed myself lol cos it was to early for him to come, but my mucus plug had also went a week before.i phoned the merternity ward the told me 2 come up to see if i was in labour, when i got threre they done an examanation and a wasnt dilated so a wasnt in labour.i was poorly with aenimia so they told me 2 stay in, i had to take 5 pills aday and had 2 get 4 jags in my hips for my sons lungs to help them mature which i thought was very painful.
3 days later at 2am i stareted 2 get pains in my stomach so i left it for abit but they just seemed to get worse as tym went on so a phoned my ex to come up and then i called for the mv at this tym it was about 6-7am they done a scan as last time they done 1 he was breech but this time he had finally turned so they left me till that afternoon 3pm,they put a drip in my hand to speed up the labour and took me down to the labour ward i only had gas and air,the 1st tym i had it i was sick about 3 tyms but i got used to.
at 9:38pm (at this time i was now 34 weeks preg) my son was born i only got to hold him for a few seconds and my ex cut the cord.
a had 2 get cut so the stitched me up i went for a shower (tryed to anyway lol) about an hour later we were aloud 2 see our baby boy in the SCBU he was so small,he wasnt in a incubator, they sayed he was strong enough to be put in a heated coat,he also had really bad joandous(sorry cant spell it)so the had to put him in a coat with a blue light init to help it go away it took awhile,2 weeks later we got told we could take him home,as we were moving house a never got a chance 2 get everything ready bt we manage it was such a great feeling taking him home.thanks for reading my story heather xx
