my birth story

I was feeling really nervous about giving birth as it's been 10 years since my last birth. my due date was the 8th of feb but little man decided to come 2 days early .I started with contractions in the early hours and was ready to go at 7am but by the time we packed the car the contractions had stopped ,i phoned the hospital and told them . so feeling a little dissapointed carried on doing housework and cooking to keep busy .then while i was cooking roast dinner they started again but i didnt panick and thought they would stop but at 8.30 pm they were really strong so phoned hospital and they said to come in .we got to the hospital at 9pm and had to wait for a room which seemed to take ages .i made it to the room and wanted the loo then i felt a big need to push jason called the midwife who helped me onto bed and i had liam at 9.30 . it was really quick my waters didnt break so the midwife had to do it just before i pushed him out .ididnt even have time for pain relief .all in all it was a good birth and the pain wasnt too bad liam weighed a healthy 7lb 8 oz and was born in the new maternity hospital in gloucester which opened in january 2011 .
