I thought so too. But then I was in labour almost 4 dash three of which with contractions 3-5 mins apart. Was sent home once and on all subsequent calls was told to take it easy and not come in, even when I was in tears telling them how exhausted I was. I finally insisted on going in and was told that I was too weak (d'uh) so was transferred to hospital and given pethidine to sleep. Things didn't move on and baby was finally delivered by forceps. She was unsettled and scarred for weeks.

Then the episiotomy didn't heal and all had to be redone 3 months later.

My daughter is 4 months old and I am now able to take her on walks but still struggling.

There is no way I am doing that again! Endless healing process, horrible birth and worst of all a terrified, scarred baby.

Number 2 will definitely be a c-section :-)
