Really, It's quite a happy job!

When I was in labour I was using gas and air which was making me go a bit silly. Because of this the midwife wasn't taking me seriously at all. She was just so miserable and wouldnt listen to me or answer my questions. At one point the gas and air must have made me feel brave and I turned to her and said...

"Why are you so dour? I mean bringing babies into the world seems like it should be a happy job."

My mum and my partner didn't have a clue where to look. :S
I feel a bit guilty about it now, but she really wasn't being very nice to me!

**dour is a scottish word for really miserable
