Working when pregnantgetting the sack
i got the boot on friday due to my temporary contract running out and them not wanting to give me a perm one, i told them i was pregnant three/four weeks ago. I am now 12 weeks and don't know what my next move is...should i get an interview, do i have to tell them im pregnant?
Any advice would help, thank you
a prospective employer is not allowed to not employ you because you are pregnant, so if you want another job then look for another one. whether you tell them is up to you - it is a difficult one though as you dont legally have to divulge your pregnancy to an employer until 25 weeks but it can also seem a bit deceitful if you get a job knowing that you are going to tell them you are pregnant. equally though given you are 12 weeks that is normally the point at which people do announce pregnancies. if it was me, i'd be honest and tell them.

what rotten bunch they are i would continue to look for work while you can huni you dont need to tell them you are pregnant untill 25 weeks and you have plenty of time untill then if you are really worried try talking to your local citazens advice they will be able to tell you all the rights and wrongs
