Weight gainHow much weight should i gain?
I was just wondering how much weight are you ment to gain whilst pregnant im 33 weeks and ive put on 2 stone so far is that ok ?
Hi
Im 39+2wks and have gained 2 stone.I read that a healthy pregancy you can gain up to 2 1/2 stone anything over that will be harder to shift after the birth.I think it also depends on the person how well you manage your weight before pregancy. I wouldnt worry too much as long as your not eating loads of crap.
I found that even when I eat healthy all week I still gain weight so it has to be good for the baby.Ive stopped worrying now and am just going with the flow.
hi i never bothered in prev pregnancys how much weight i had gained but for some crazy reason weighed myself at end this time and i had put on 2 stone. just think of you are carrying baby, placenta, and water. good luck & take care x
I put on 3 1/2 stone when i was pregnant with my little boy and ate as healthy as you can imagine. Plus i had an emergency c-section at 33 weeks and he was only 4lb 7oz so god knows what all that extra weight was, soon lost it after the birth though without even trying so dont worry about it (within 5-6 months i was back in pre-pregnancy clothes)
hi,i put 4 stone on with each of mine,i went from 9 to 13 st with my first 4 daughters,im 26 weeks and am going the same way,my midwife says its not only food but genetics too.im avery healthy eater,i hate meat i nt eat macdonalds or pizzas, rarely chocolate but i still put 4 stone on in total, with my last 4 i lost the excess very quickly and within 12 weeks i was back as normal.I would say dont worry what will be will be.
Hi
I'm almost 22 weeks now. I seem to be the opposite (so far-no idea if that'll change later or not!) - I haven't actually weighed myself in a couple of weeks, but last time I checked, I only gained about 2-2.2 pounds. I haven't changed size, apart from my tummy/boobs. I had my 20 week scan last week and my baby had all the right measurements and is healthy, happy and active, so (at least for now) im not too concerned about not really gaining much weight :)
Hope this helps!
Vanessa
xx
Hey
I'm 17 weeks pregnant and was a healthy 9 stone before i got pregnant. For some crazy reason the other day i decvided to weigh myself and was horrified to find that i had gained nearly 1 1/2 stone already. I wouldnt worry too much though u will loose it when ur baby is born good luck. carly x
I'm so worried that i'll gain too much weight! I'm getting married 2 months after the baby will be born so i'm desperate to still fit into my wedding dress!
I've just found out i'm pregnant with my 3rd! Does nyone know how not to gain too much weight? Thanks Stepahnie xx
I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my third child and have only gained 4 pound from getting pregnant. With my second I was a stone lighter when I gave birth. I beleive if u r on the heavier side when u conceive for sum reason u dont gain 2 much. I was a healthy 9 stone with my first n put on 2 n half stone n this split me n my then partner up but afta the birth had a nasty split n due to a kidney problem have been on regular steroids which proves very difficult 2 shift weight. Everyone is different n if u feel healthy with ur pregnancy u will b fine.xxxxx
I'm 22 weeks and I'm like Vanessa as I've hardly put any weight on. I was overweight to start with though but when I weigh myself each week I'm not putting anything on. My body has changed and so have my boobs though. I did start to think that the scales were broken. Everyone is different so I wouldn't worry too much. Now that I've seen bump at my 20 week scan I'm happy that everything is growing ok.
i havent put a pound on at all this time.with my first at the end i weighed a stone and a half heavier than at the start which i lost in about 2 or 3 weeks so i guess that was my daughter water and placenta but i ate a lot of fruit when i was pregnant with her.the thought of greasy food made me feel unbelievably ill.
things like celery and strawberries burn more calories digesting them than they actually contain apparently so i guess that helped me in my first.
just keep a balance and keep hydrated and i suppose magic knickers afterwards can always disguise whats left lol
