Trying for a baby

Is it ok to dye your hair?

ive never had to dye my hair until last year (getting old now lol)and i know it sounds really stupid but my roots will need doing in a couple weeks time and im hoping to be pregnant this month (find out on 29th). Is it safe to use?

HIya

thanks for your comments on my post!

I was told by my midwife that I should avoid colouring my hair....my grey started to come through big style a few months ago. every chemical passes over the placenta seemingly. I also got a row for using hair removal cream as that has dodgy chemicals so I am now grey and hairy.......gorgeous!

If you go to a hairdressers i would check with them or email your question to the cow and gate team, I would have been lost without them.

hi,i've got a head of half brown half blonde at mo lovely!!!! i heard it was ok then i heard it could go green!! so here i am counting down to when i can have it done and relax with it.it will be a nice treat after the baby,i look at it this way it's a small price to pay if...if it did harm the baby would our hair colour be important?i do agree with nettie it would certainly lift the spirits but knowing my luck it would go green+harm the baby!xxx

Hi, I was told itd okay to use highlights, but not full head colour, as highlights donts touch your roots and get into your blood system...

xx
