Hi ya. its safe to be travelling till you about 30 or 32 weeks. You can feel very tired though in the early pregnancy as the baby is taking all the vitamins and energy out of you to develop. just make sure you are getting enough rest and not carring any heavy bags.

Hi, they say you can travel after 12 weeks, if you are earlier than that then they say you need the ok from your dr to fly. you may find that companys won't insure you til after 12 weeks unless the ok from your dr. x

I flew to Japan when I was 7 weeks pregnant, it was a real long haul job. Whilst I wouldn't recommend this due to the constant need for the loo (not good on a plane when there are 30 other people waiting to go too!) I had no probs travelling. I'm now 38 weeks and due to pop any day. If in any doubt it's always best to have a quick chat with your GP. Hope you have a good trip!

I flew to Crete at 20 weeks pregnant and everything was fine! I'm now 29 weeks. It maybe a good idea to let your insurance company know you are pregnant, as if you don't you may find it void if you had any problems whilst abroad. I also invested in a pair of flight socks, the type designed to combat deep vein thrombosis, these are availbale from most chemists. Try not to worry if you are going to go abroad, enjoy yourself! P.s It realy is good to squeeze a holiday in before the birth, I found going on holiday and having a break, realy beneficial. Take care and best of luck with your preganancy!!

I was advised this week not to travel to america in 6 weeks due to the risks in early pregnancy, i am 6 weeks along just now & will be 12 weeks when I was due to go away on holiday.

We have put our holiday plans on hold till next year as we dont want to risk harmimg the baby. We are so excited about our baby, even though it is still 7-8 months away.

I am disabled & a wheelchair user so im not sure if the advice we was given is partly due to my disability or if it is general advice.

I had no problems flying - just make you drink plenty on the plane to prevent dehydration and take regular walks to prevent dvt. Also, be careful with the eateries abroad as not all are safe and clean. Bottled water is your safest option ans avoid drinking in glass bottles. Always take out medical insurance just in case.
