Hi, im in livingston and only get one scan at 12 weeks.

Hi, I live in Stirling, and we get one at 12 weeks which is the dating scan, and one at 20 weeks, which is the anomaly scan. I can't believe that folks only get 1 scan, that's shocking.

I'm in Aberdeen and we get a 12 week scan and a 20 week scan. I've read recently that some people only get one scan...that's ridiculous! Those 2 scans are for 2 different reasons so what are they missing out with these women who only get one?

Hi im from Eastleigh ive had my twelve week scan but have another one in a couple of weeks time, i think its terrible for some places to only do one scan

hi im from motherwell and i have had 3 scans, the 1st for the dateing scan, the second coz i had abdominal pains in lower stomach and third was my anomaly scan to check everything was growing properly, so i think that is shocking people only get 1 scan they should get 2.

i live in lockerbie though im from glasgow when i had my son in glasgow i got 2 scans 1 at 12 weeks and 1 at 20 weeks. i dont think i could cope if there was only 1 scan available thats shocking. i got the same down here in lockerbie 2 scans 1 ast 12 and 1 at 20 time though i had more due to bleeding with my daughter this baby ive had an early scan though things dont look good

Hi i live in Portsmouth an had one at 8 weeks-due to a bleed, one at 12 weeks and having another at 20 weeks. I cants believe people only get 1 scan, the difference between my 8 week and 12 week scan was amazing its a shame people miss out on that.

I am still waiting for my first scan at nearly 14 weeks - apparently my midwife lost my paperwork so now im delayed in telling all the important people in my life about my new arrival and stressed worrying about the health of the baby longer than I should have been. I live in Bournemouth and have 3 scans in total I think.

I'm from Manchester...when I was pregnant I had a 12 week & 20 week scan.................Just 1 scan is terrible.....I don't think I would have coped with just one.

Hi, i've just returned from living in Gran Canaria for the last two years, as i want to be around family when the baby is born. I took out private medical insurance over there and it was the best thing i ever did! I have around seven scan pictures as i was checked for development every month and also have a DVD of the baby which was done at 20wks, which was free. The things you see your baby doing is unbelievable, sucking his/her thumb, rubbing their eyes...I would recommend this to anyone who is going to plan for another child. x
