Hi there!
They can normally tell you at your 20wk scan the sex of your baby, im not sure how early they can detect it from but i was offered to find out at my 20wk scan and me and my husband decided to keep it a suprise!
Im now 26+3!

i am really excited about finding out the sex of my baby too i am 14wks. my local hostital in Luton will not tell you the gender so you are really lucky. I was just wondering where your local hospital is cos i really want to check but i dont want to pay alot of money to find out

hi i had my first scan at 14 weeks and they were not able to tell me i thought they might with it being a couple of weeks late.. i am 20weeks now and going for my scan on the 11th cannot wait to find out what were having and to see if everything is okay

when i went for my scan at 12 weeks the lady said oh 2 more weeks and i could have positively told you the sex and so 14 weeks you can actually tell from, but most ladies dont have a scan until 20 weeks like me,theres a web site on scan developments thats fab its www.baby2see.com go on weekly scans and it shows you when the baby shows is sex and what happens in the womb and weekly updates its fab

well this morning im having my private scan done 10am
i really cant wait
im so nervous and already the bolt of the trots have arrived, lol i get like that when im nervous lol
i live in sittingbourne kent uk and i have to travel to walderslade which is down motorway from me
ive got 5 boys already so hoping for a girl.
i know the nhs hospital told me 70% but thats not enough for me lol

im quite excited now as id like to have a private scan too,at 12 weeks she couldnt quite see and it seems so long until 21 weeks when i get my next scan as im only 14 weeks now,i have 4 girls and they all want to know now what the baby is,i will look up private scans now to see if theres one near me,many thanks

Fetal gender (baby's sex, boy or girl)
The sex of the baby can be determined with 99% accuracy at the anomaly scan (22 weeks) in the majority of cases so long as the baby is cooperative.

Using different criteria, the sex (gender) of the baby can be determined with a lower accuracy rate at the Nuchal scan (11 – 13+ weeks) in 70% + of cases. The accuracy increases from 80% in the 11th week to 90% in the 12th and 95% in the 13th week. We are happy to attempt to let you know if your baby appears to be a girl or boy at scans beyond 11 weeks at no additional charge.

im 13wks and was told at my 12wk scan 70% a girl!
so me being me with 5 boys already havnt believed it
so tuesday im having a 4d scan done to find out sex and yes you can find the sex out at 12 plus weeks,
ive gone private and its costing £110 which includes a nt scan.
nhs told me that she shouldnt tell me but like i said 70% girl, they can tell you but wont as most times with normal scans you cant see very clear but with 3d 4d they can see. look up private scans hun x

i think my closest will be sheffield,im looking into it now and hopefully i can get it sorted within a few weeks,i think a sexing scan 2d is £50 approx, a 3d is around£100=120 and a 4d scan is slightly more but you get dvds pictures etc etc
