i have just found out that im expecting my 3rd child in january and i was wondering when do you have the first blood test to atleast confirm you are pg. my gp said it is all done electronically now and i am waiting to be put in touch with the midwife. all i have to go on is 3 pg tests and a missed period.

HI and congrats. I'm also pregnant with my third. It took about 5 weeks before my appointment came through for me to see the midwife. So I'd just hang on in there. An Victoria Id be slightly worried if there not giving you a blood test to confirm your pregnancy because they also use that blood to check your iron levels, what blood group you are in case you needed an blood transfusion. Also they'll check for STD's and HIV/Aids. Kelly
Yea i had a blood test at 12 weeks, i ment to confirm that you are pregnant.
hiya i had my blood tests from midwife at 9 wks, but had my pregnancy confirmed with
a urine sample x
well i still havent had mine but i got my scan am looking forward to it :)
