Private Scan

Has anyone else made the decision to have a private scan. Just got my first appointment through from hospital for 14 weeks and just cant wait that long!! I'm already consumed with first time mum and older mum anxiety and so have decided to pay privately, so now in next week. Has anyone else done this and is it worth paying for?

Hiya julesnicho private scans are definately worth the money, I paid for a private sexing scan at 21 weeks as my nhs scan was rubbish and treated me like crap, it cost me 50 pound and it will cost me 100 if i go for the 4d one but they are well worth it, the clinic I went to was amazing, you will come out feeling brillient, i did! x

Hi Missy

did a search on the internet to find clinics in the area that offered them. Picked one in solihull based on the good reviews and their close association with the hospital. Rang up and booked for Tues. Just need that piece of mind and i must admit that it feels like the weight of the world has been lifted!

sorry missy. I am having a dating/viability scan and the cost is £70, obviously depending on which scan you want determines the cost.

Do you have to have any kind of referral from the GP to get a private scan or can you just book it direct yourself? I was thinking about having one as it's a long time to wait with no reassurance otherwise.

No, emma didnt need a referral as you are paying for it privately. Just rang and booked. Will let you know how it went. So nervous that all ok, feel sick at the thought but just couldnt wait until 14 weeks, seems like an eternity!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm feeling the same, it's a long way to wait to get a scan and I just want some reassurance. Hope everything goes well for you.
