mood swings.............?

Hi, I`m 21 years old and expecting my first baby. I`m 18 weeks so far, hoping that the baby is alright as midwife was too over booked to take for 16 week check. Due for my 2 check by midwife on Thursday morning. And hoping everything will be alright.

Is their anyone like me I`m suffering really bad mood swings its driving my boyfriend mad. He doe`s nt understand.................?
I`m either mad as a bat or crying for my unborn baby not to make mistakes I made and because I want he/she to have a better family life then I did.
I`ve been alful to my bf I keep telling him my emotions are all over due to my pregnancy. But he doe`s nt believe me. How do I stop my mood swings, or at lest prove I`m not being nasty...................?

Hey! I'm really tired at the mo (8wks) but am expecting to feel like that soon! I was on this site the other day discussing tiredness and my husband appeared behind me so I read out what someone else had written about how they're feeling to him.I don't feel that he doesn't believe me but I felt it backed me up a little. maybe you could get him to look through the forums with you so he can see that a lot of women are going through the same as you????

hi, i am 14 weeks and i am the girlfriend from hell!! im always having mood swings sometimes my bf just doesnt know what to say for the best! your not the only one, and its quite normal, we are having so many things go on in our body right now with the hormones we will cry more easily or get angry quicker etc, but dont worry im sure your bf knows you dont mean it hun, i know my bf will be glad when im not so hormonal but hed stand by me through anything. x

i wasn't great when i was pregnant either - it is completely normal and every woman will be up one minute and down the next! my daughter is now 8 months and to be honest i still moan at my partner for the stupidest things. i think it comes from talking baby language all day - i forget how to talk to an adult!

i am new to the site, so hi all!
i no just how you feel - i have had so many weeks of feeling all over the place and bawling for no reason and snapping at my bf, when i was finally in a good mood the other day he asked me if i was ok!
i hate blaming my hormones but if it isnt down to them, then what is it! tiredness doesn't help, i always try and sleep as much as poss if i am really tired, but sometimes its easier said than done!

i know exactly how your feeling. i am 32 weeks pregnant and must be the worst person to be around round now. if im not crying i am going mad for something. i am seeming to take every thing out on my boyfriend for no reason and i know he is getting sick. all i do if we argue is have some me time for a bit and it seems to help.

hey babes x
oh trust me i have been there. i am expecting my first baby too. i am now in my 3rd trimester and i still get a few mood swingfs from time to time. Because your hormones will still be flying here there and everywhere at 18 weeks try drink raspberry herbal tea. there is something in it to help steady your hormones.
Good luck hunny, hope everything works out for you xx

I feel so much better reading all of the comments above,, I have had the worst mood swings, 10 times worse than PMT! Just feeling really angry and short tempered, I am 9 weeks now and it seems to be calming down.

hi guys, i'm new to this site. my first baby, 9 weeks.....and i have become so unreasonable and awful- even throwing things. this is completely unlike me and i am shocked at my behavior. my husband had serious words last night and i feel bad because i am bein fairly awful towards him but i am stressed.
my boobs hurt loads and my nipples have been catching on everything. i feel sick 22 hours out of 24 and i've got back ache (back tilting womb?)....not really enjoying how i'm feeling other than feeling pretty horny...these are all normal things to other pregnant people i am sure but i think hubby needs convincing.
i am very tired and crouchy and can;t stand the thought of cooking anything wet....
sorry moan over- feels like typing it makes it easier to come out.
thanks :)

Hi there
Im haven my 4th baby im 28 weeks i only got really bad mood swings with my son and this one im ready to have a go at everyone my hubby thinks its really funny then that starts me off again. the midwife said its just hormones but i think its got something to do with the sex of the baby. It will get better just think a few more weeks and you will have your scan and it makes you forget all about the mood swings
Keep your chin up xxxxxx
