Relationships during pregnancySnapping at them closest
hi my name is sherrie, im 35wk+1day and latley ive been really snappy at my partner and i cant seem to help it, even though i really dont want to snap at him cuz most the time he is trying to help me. but then i start getting emotional and i dont know what to do about it, its starting to do my head in and have a strain on the relationship.
Any Advice? xxxx
Hi im exactly the same. The past week ive been up and down, crying, shouting and generally getting moody. We cant help it i dont think, ive just been trying to think about my responses more and to stay calm. If you think about what your going to say, and say it in a calm way, they respond to us being calm. I feel if im hot headed and so is my partner, were just clash. But then they should realise the strain and the changes our bodies are going through at this time. :o)
above is a good response and sums it up perfectly really!
if you can try and stay calm then that will help, but this is down to hormones and feeling like you do is totally normal. all i can add to that really is to try to explain to your partner that you dont mean to be like that. once your baby arrives things will settle down so try to ask your partner not to take it personally until then. i've recently given birth to our second child after a 4 year gap and my partner quickly remembered to ignore me when i'm pregnant!
best wishes. x
thank you girls.... that really helps!! and congrats Livi, will take all advise on board xxx
