Pregnancy fashion & beautyhas anyone tried bio-oil for stretch marks
hi all, i wondered if anyone tried bio-oil the orange boxed one? to reduce stretch marks or avoid them altogether using it twice a day? if not that what else has people been using that seems to of worked, i would like to know. thanks
Hiya! I used Bio Oil and Cocoa Butter twice a day from the second i found out i was pregnant and i still got stretchmarks, i think if your going to get them there is nothing you can do. Some say if your mum didnt have any then neither will you, but my mum didnt have any. I suppose it depends how much weight you put on too-i put on 4 and half stone!!! xx
i used bio oil,its messy stuff lol, i still got stretchmarks but i guess it made them less harsch, dont think you can prevent stretchmarks
hi i used bio-oil (still do) either in my bath or rub in after a shower when it can be rubbed in better, but i still got stretchmarks. however just got them on bum & backs of legs so not too bad - none on my stomach! x
hi, i used bio oil and cocoa butter every day during pregnancy and afterwards for a bit and still got stretch marks- small ones on my boobs, back of legs, but HUGE ones on y stomach..some of them are like nearly 3cm wide.......arrrgghh!!! i feel like my bodys ruined lol! i dont think the creams/oils helped in an earth-shattering way but my stretch marks have faded now (11 months after having my lo) and they are white, they used to be angry red/purple. also i used to convince my bf that he needed to rub my pregnant tummy every night with the oil to stop stretch marks, so he did and i got lovely relaxing tummy rubs lol!! its worth using bio oil etc just for getting a tummy rub alone in heavy pregnancy hehe! i think if you are genetically disposed towards getting stretchmarks then there isnt that much you can do hun, my stomach was as tight as a drum so no wonder the marks are so huge! they dont bother me as much as they used to unless someone accidentally glimpses them lol x x x x
Hi
I swear by it,,,,I have always moisturised head to toe since I was a teenager and although I'm a curvy size 16 and wish my belly was flatter ( still wobbly after a c-sections five months ago) I didn't get one stretchmark. I used to use vaseline intensive care or nivea body, and then started using Bio Oil about 4 years ago and as I say, didn't get any. Maybe because I've always been a 14 (before pregnancy) to 16 then my skin didn't have that far to stretch,,,,,ha ha !! They can make them fade quicker though, my friend got real bad tram lines,,,and I got her a bottle and she says they really helped, they are silvery white now and hardly noticable !

i have just noticed a few on my belly today & at the side!!! arggghhh!!!!
i need her out now, i cant go another 17days or more :( x
i used bio oil starting from 2 years after i had my son. its really faded my stretch marks loads and i haven't yet got any new ones now i'm 6 months pregnant. I would recomend it. it makes your skin feel really smooth. x
i have been using bio oil since i found out i was pregnant. didnt use it with my 1st pregnancy 2and half years ago and got a few on very tops of legs and on my boobs, not bad but i notice them. i was very under-weight when pregnant with my son(7stone) went upto 10stone. dropped back down to 8 after giving birth to him. not even put on a stone this time but stretch marks are coming bak purple on boobs but not as bad with help of oil. i havnt got anymore with this pregnancy since using the oil and im 7 months pregnant now. also makes skin really soft and smooth.
I used bio oil every day from when I was 5 weeks pregnant.I did get stretchmarks on my tummy, but only a few and they were very small, hardly noticeable.
i love bio oil, i sometimes use the cheaper one from wilkinsons called rescue oil, its good but dont smell as nice! my stomach is covered in stretchmrks from my 1st, went from 12-16 and he was nearly 9 pounds!! im worried sick il be left with big saggy stomach which only surgery will solve it, but surely i cant stretch any more lol x
