Hi, my last baby was born a month before I turned 40, he's now 18 months, I'm 41 and we are trying for another. I think its normal to be scared, my eldest child is 16 and I felt like I was a first time mum again. Plus even if you've planned a pregnancy I think its always a shock when it happens! We had been trying for almost 3 years and lost a baby inbetween but I still panicked when I got the blue line! Having a baby at any age is a big thing, just try to relax and I'm sure by the time you get to your 12 week scan and see your little bean wriggling around and waving at you that you'll feel a whole lot better about it all! Mine in due June 10th and I will be 41 then. It's my Ist pregnancy as well so I haven't a clue what is normal.

I'm trying not to read too many things on what could go wrong at my age and am just trying to go with the flow!!

I've decided not to have any tests for downs, even though I'm high risk as I've waited a long time for this little one and what will be will be!

Hi congrats! And don't sweet it, listen to your body & take it a day at a timeI. I hav a 2 year old, and i will be 38 when my 2nd is born this April.
