Pregnancy blues

9 wks, 2nd child .. dizziness, nausea and low mood.. help !!

This is my 2nd child, already have a 6 year old !!.. I`m now about 8 weeks and feeling rotten. Before I became pregnant, I was taking citalopram for anxiety.. after a loooooooong chat with my GP, I have remained on it !!

I`ve been feeling sick, extrememly dizzy and am very irritable. I feel the world is continuing around me and my life is just standing still !! It`s such a weird feeling !!

Gave myself a real fright this morning, as I got out of bed, and couldn`t focus for about 10 minutes, felt the most awful dizziness and sickness ever and stayed in the bathroom with a bucket for about an hour as I felt safe there !!

This is only adding to my low mood... is there light at the end of this tunnell?? Didn`t have any of this with my first child !

I felt the same when i had my second son you need to take iron tablets as you feel so low it does help with the tired ness and sickness.
You probaly feel low because it's alot harder having two children.

oh sweet i sympathise, this is my 5th and at 9 weeks i felt so very poorly, after 14 weeks you will be 100%better until the last lil bit ofcourse,im 32 weeks now feeling ok really but just huge.so my advise is iron tablets and as much rest as you can and get your blood pressure checked for that dizziness.rest rest and rest you need it

I felt exactly the same at your stage of pregnancy i have a daughter who coming 9 and this is my second child i am now 26 weeks and for the past 10 i have felt great...most days! i have the very odd low day but nothing major at all,i totally sypathise with you i was so sick i couldnt get out bed and my mother in law was cooking and freezing food for me as the kitchen was a no go zone! some days all i done was cry from th minute i opened my eyes and at times i felt so angry for no reason! good old hormones!! once your body accepts them and gets used to all the new things going on in it you should feel a whole let brighter.hope this helps :)
