lol whats a birth plan,im due friday and not done one!im gonna play it by ear.i had my little girl last year and i would say maybe see how you feel on the day,if you are in too much pain then ask for some pain relief,i did this and coped with just gas and air but i did say i wanted to kkep my options open and see how i got on,i had a very quick labour tho,but this time im gonna do the same and if it gets to much then maybe have some pethadine, thats if my baby everyr decides to finally come out and meet me,have a chat and go through it with your midwife jo x

Hi sweet
i have 4 children and with my first i used pethadine as i wasnt really clued up on
apin relief but i found it didnt take the pain away at all and made me sick
i found using gas and air helped again it didnt take the pain away but assisted me
during labour and gives you something else to focus on and it kind of relaxes you
in a sense. there are a few pain relliefs out there but not sure if they take away the
pain i think the thing that helped me when i was in labour with my 3rd child i walked
around a lot and he was born really quickly as walking helps bring the baby down.
good luck hun xxx

JOMC- a birth plan is when you write down things you would like in labour what kind
of pain relief you would like and how you would like to give birth and who to cut the
cord and hold the baby just things that would make labour comfortable for you
but keep your options fairly open as on the day of labour you may feel completely
diffrent or things may need to be changed to help you and your baby
good luck to both of you
big hugs xxx

when i was pregnant i just decided to keep my options open which is what i would say for you to do because when i went in to labour i was really proud of my self lol for only using gas and air hope this helps xxx

heya when i gave birth i was told i had tyo have an epidural when i wanted a natrual birth because the docs thought i was going to have to have a c section, i found that i felt very little even though it only worked in one side of my body.

If your scared of teh pain i would recommend an epidural but some woman need to have assisted deliveries because they dont know when to push.
Try to keep an open mind about your birth plan, i didn't and was really upset when things didnt seem to be gonig my way.
Good luck!

dbeech,im on my second baby lol,i was joking i know what a birth plan is!!i put that if anyone had read any of my other posts i had my daughter prem last year and hadnt done a birth plan,so whilst in labour the mw was trying to ask me questions about what i wanted,at which point i just about knew my name!!im due fri and have had a chat with my mw about the birth plan but im gonna just play it by ear again, plus she wasnt bothered about writing it down as its my second baby so i will know what to do and how i want things done when im at the hospital,if i plan things i get stressed. jo x
