Otherhospital bag
when is a good time to start packing ur bag for the hospital im 28weeks and feel i should be getting it done but feel so lazy
i did mine a bit each week take your time! i used to get bits in the shoping i got minatures for me once its done you will check it over an over again good luck Joanne an Elsie 11mnth
When I was first pregnant, I started getting bits from about 30 weeks and I found myself packing and unpacking the bag so many times!! Don't forget to get your bits for both your bag and the baby's bag. I have to say, those lucozade glucose tablets helped me through labour enormously!
When i had my son i hadn't even thoght about packing the bag untill i got pre-aclampsia at 33 weeks and had to be rushed into hospital and trust me that was a nightmare sat at the bottom of the stairs shouting at people about what i wanted in my bag.
I was lucky enough to come home after a week and i can tell you the first thing i did was pack my bag properly.
I am only 7 weeks preg and already i know my bag will be packed by the time i am 33 weeks.
im 33 weeks and am going 2 start packin my bag at around 35 weeks, as they say that wen u reach 37 weeks u r full term an ur baby cud cum any time from then onwards. xx
i'm 31 weeks tomorrow and hadn't even thort of packing a bag! that is until i spent 13 hours in a&e and then got admitted to hospital. it is not pleasant cuz take my word for it, hospital gowns aren't made for the pregnant woman!!! luckilyi was alowed out the next evenening but i felt so dirty. my bag was packed 2 days later!
Hi I had a baby 14 weeks ago, and what I put in my bag was the bare nessceitys, if your having a c section you will need
nighties not pjs
slippers that wont slip
and your toliet things with loads of breast pads, i leaked like mad,
also for baby you will need a going home outfit pack two one if it is sunny and warm and one if it is cold and raining,
also babygrows, bibs, scratch mittens, take your own towel and babys towel as hospital ones are relly rough, thats all i took good luck with the baby and if you want more let me know
....and a hairbrush!! You pack everything and forget the simple items! Also don't bother with disposable pants (yuc)- buy a cheap pack of pants from primark.
I was told to pack mine at 34 weeks.
I'm 32 weeks & all i need to put in my hospital bag are bits for me like comfy clothes, i went out & bought travel size toiletries. I'm a bit cautious of having a premature baby s i want to make sure everything is ready for him/her! Good luck to everyone. xx
hi there to all you mums to be... just looking thru this section to see if i can offer any advice. i had my 1st baby on the 8th feb & he was due on 28th jan - to say about packing hospital bag i left it until the last minute i had some things like toiletries & baby clothes but my hubby dragged me shopping & refused to go home until i had everything, on the 5th feb (2 days before i went into labour) i think it was a case of knowing that it was the final preparation & made it seem more real... some useful things were socks to keep my feet warm, a cheap packet of knickers didn't fancy disposable ones,
posting another reply cos sometimes a long one doesn't show up.....
also when choosing PJ's choose dark perhaps black patterned bottoms cos you wont see any stains if you get me.. take a couple of bottoms cos i didnt realise how much you loose & i had to get my hubby to bring me another pair.. also a great maternity nightie was one from mothercare it was about £10.00 & had grey/pink stripes with poppers down the front it was great cos it fitted rather than looking like a sack like the normal bigger sizes i tried on... also don't forget camera & camcorder (if you got one) for those priceless first few pictures & action footage when your back on the ward.. i didnt want my hubby to film me at all but he got a few clips & looking back it was the best thing ever cos you soon forget >>>>>> GOOD LUCK>>>>>
