Morning sicknessHow to get rid of morning, noon and night sickness
Hi my name is Faye, Iam 19 and this is my first pregnancy, I have severe sickness and find it hard to stomach the smallest amount of food. I have tried toast and drinking plenty of water.
Please help! XX
Have you tried ginger nut biscuits, they worked well with me! My friend also used the anti-sickness bands, the kind you get for travel sickness that you wear around your wrist. Its good to keep drinking. I hope it passes soon. I was only nauseaus from 8-10 weeks x x
Hi Faye, I had terrible sickness & dizzy spells, which only really died down to occassional sickness at 23-25 weeks.
absolutely nothing worked for me. I spent 8quid on travel band they didn't work, they were too tight on my wrist, i found them so irratating. I think the doc can prescribe tablets to help, but i heard about some horrid side effects regarding babies being born with disabilities so opted to grin & bare it. Im now 28wks, and very tired.
xx
Hi Faye i to had morning sickness all day from week 8 to 17 and then it was about every 3 days i would have about 3 days feeling really sick and sometimes sick until aboiut 22 weeks. in the early stages i went to doctors because i couldnt keep anything down so they put me on anti sickness tablets as not only was it horrible but it was keeping me off work. the anti sickness they gave me was fine for pregnant women they said. the only problem i found with them was they made me quite dizzy and very tired to the point i had to sleep (prehaps thats why they worked because i wasnt awake to throw up lol). They did give me other tablets but the side effects for people my age (20) was a no no so just took the first lot they gave me when it was really bad.
i would suggest going to doctors. you only need to see a nurse.
i was lucky and only had 1 morning of sickness but i found if i ate a ginger biscult before i went to bed and marmite on toast in the morning helped me thoughout the day to feel better x
Hi Faye I hope that your morning sickness soon passes, it's really not nice! I'm now 27+4 weeks pregnant and still suffering with sickness and nausia, althoug it has eased from what it was. Like Leila-Kay I found that nothing works for me apart from fizzy vimto, but that soon wore off at christmas! I was however prescribed anti sickess tablets by my doc and only took them if I really needed to!
Sorry it's probably not much help but try and eat little and often and drink plenty and as I said I hope it soon passes x
