i ovulated with hcg still at 7..

i had a D&E with a 10 week pregnancy on the 28th dec, 3 weeks ago today. my hcg dropped to 222.8 one week later then 24 at 2 weeks post op and finally on monday they came back at 7. My problem is i had negative ovulations tests and pregnancy tests for over a week. and i had positive ovulation tests all weekend on top of right hand side ovulation pain. i have found really conflicting information on if you can ovulate while hcg is still there. am i going mad???
