they are only old wives tales - i dont believe in any of them! if any of those things worked, then women who ate pineapple or curries while pregnant would never make it to full term! babies come out when they are ready. good luck and enjoy your labour -looking back on it, i loved every minute of my 3 day labour, but i just wish i had relaxed a bit more! x

Im not the best person to give advice as my baby was 13 days over but i do believe the best you can do is to keep active- I was in hospital for a few days before and the midwives really encouraged me to keep walking ( or waddling as the case may be!)
I didn't manage sex so well done to you!!!

Hi, My labour started 12 days early but my advice would be to keep active. I went out every day of my maternity leave - and still do now I've got a baby! Maybe I should have made the most of doing nothing but that's not me. Good luck!

I'd say try to keep busy and make the most of your last days before being a mummy. I started 5 days after due date and was busy right till the end.
A relative got very fed up counting the days and didn't leave the house for the 2 weeks after the due date frightened that something would happen - it didn't and she was induced. So she could have had some lunches out etc.
