Labour worrieslabour!
what would the best thing for a snack and drink be for labour? i was gonna take some cans of coke but my partner said it wouldnt be best. any ideas?
i had lukazade and water but best in labour is sips of water you get so hot and sweatie x
Plenty of energy drinks or fruit juice and water, also take bars of food like harvest bars or chocolate is good for a quick sugar boost, i would'nt bother with anything that's need's to be kept cold as there isn't usually any fridges around so unliess you have a good cool box don't bother, oh yeah and don't forget to take them!!! i ended up being checked 3 times altogether before i was admited, and on the last run we thought we wouldn't bother taking the food in as we'd proberley wouldn't be staying - how wrong can you be!! Good luck hope this gives you some ideas xxx
i had some pure apple juice during my labour and it was the sweetest and most appreciated drink ive ever had!lol xx
i had ribena but every time i drank it i was sick so i stuck to water and sucking on ice cubes. the ice helped really well but i had to spit it out for contractions as i nearly choked on it.
digestive bisuits, those lucazade energy tablets, and lucazade drink (the non fizzy stuff) xxx
hi i drank lots and lots of coke when in labour!! my MW and partener kept saying just drink water coke isnt good but to me it was heaven!! i also took hard boiled sweets for sugar and something to bite on!
food & drink was the last thing on my mind whilst in labour! lol.. I just sipped on water, luckily it didn't last too long. Don't know how I would've coped if it had gone on for days. I couldn't even think about eating. Infact didn't eat for a whole day,haha..
i drank oasis as it tastes ok warm and Im not keen on water. I didnt eat anything as I didnt feel hungry
Coke may make you feel sick during latter stages of labour! I took several cartons with straws - ribena! Chewy sweets are ideal too - like starburst! Energy fillers are what you need! But probably not fizzy drinks!
