Labour worriesBirth Plan
I was thinking what would be the best/easier birth. Birthing pool or normal hospital bed. Im only 16wks but never thought about it until now. Oh yeah also do you think with drugs or without.
its up 2 u ur the one having the baby one thing i would say if u r planning a water birth b prepared that planns do change i wanted one with 1st but some1 was already using it. u never will know untill you r going through child birth weather u need drugs or not. i didnt have any but everyone is different. u have a while to worry bout all this just relax and lay back. ur midwife is there at the end of the phone if you do need to talk to her, they r so supportive.
its nice to draw up a birth plan but be prepared for it all to change at the last minute, i had a plan all written out and packed in my bag but when the time came it all happened so fast i didnt do anything off the plan! you just never know wot is going to happen until you are in labour so have your plan but also play it by ear.
The only plan i have is to get the baby out with as less pain as possible.
I never had a plan for my first and havent got one for this one.
I am just going to let things happen as long as baby comes out happy, healthy and in one piece with all its bits i'm not bothered.
I will be in hospital but if it happens at home then it happens at home.
i made a birth plan ..but never actually used it .. didn't have time to get it out my bag!! and other things i was intending to use during what i thought what be a long time in labour at hospital. but i did remember one thing off it .. which was i wanted both my mum and boyfriend as birth partners .. her to cut the cord .. hiim to hold our son first ..
i wanted all forms of p[ain relief .. but ended up having absolutely nothing not even gas and air ... as there was no point as by the time it would of kicked in baby would have been born .. as he was born 30mins after getting to the hospital ..
anyway what im trying say is its probably a good idea to put that you would like the option of drugs so as on the day if you do want them theres somewhere there to administer drugs .. so you should put i would like the option but it depends how i'll feel on the dfay as im not sure .. thats what i put
I am considering a water birth as it is my first baby and i am terrified of the pain. i have started writing out my birthing plan and i am only 9 weeks pregnant. My fiance's mum has it in her head that she is going to be at the birth so i need to make sure my plan
says just him. i would rather he was there for when the baby is born and his family and mine to pop in after. I have put down gas and air because i read you control it my sister couldnt have gas and air because it made her feel sick she had a 10 hour labour at home and didnt know until 2 hours before my nephew was born that she was in labour. she had no pain relief and a few stitches. I hope mine goes as well as her's because she is younger.
i also made a birth plan with both of my babys but they never go to plan lol i also had gas and air with my first daughter and i was sick it didnt really help me with the pain so i had a epidural and it was fantastic it numbed me all the way down i also had Pethidine witch the they inject u into ur thigh which is quite good its not as good as an epidural but it numbs u a little bit but at the end of the day its up to u hunni i hope u have a fantastic birth and a beautiful baby gud look take care xxxxx
i wrote a birth plan with my first child, nothing too deatiled but mainly that i wanted to be active. the midwife quite clearly didnt read it and she wanted me on the bed and being a first timer didnt dare argue so labour was horrible. be prepared to go with the flow, acept it will be beyond your control.
