good for you! i had my baby in hospital, laboured at home for 3 days with only tens machine so i surprised myself at how well i did! so, i would love to have a home birth when we decide to have another baby because i know i could cope. would have to convince my partner tho - i ended up having to have a forceps delivery with my daughter as she was a bit stuck so it would worry him in case the same thing happened. midwives are very good at spotting any problems and u r monitored constantly, they would get u into hospital if there was any sign of a problem. let the midwives take care of you and make sure you enjoy it!

i had my 2nd baby at home after having my first daughter in hospital and would definatly recomend it! i think its so nice for the father to cause he felt so helpfull being able to just make cups of tea for the midwifes! and when we had our first daughter he felt a bit pushed out in hospital and he said he felt in the way he was very worried about a homebirth but i think as long as you have a good pregnancy its defiantly a good option were having our 3rd at home in december as long as i dont go overdue!

Its something i always wanted to do, but never had the nerve to push it, my gp wasnt happy when i said i wanted to. ive had 6 now, and planning another baby, reading that it was a positive experience is lovely, and i hope i have the nerve to give it a go. i admire anyone that has, well done

I had my son and daughter in hospital and have planned to have this one at home (due in 5 and a half weeks ) but i am really scared, if something goes wrong. I was 7 hours in labour with the other 2 but i was very tense. I know i will benefit from having a home birth but i am a scaredy cat when it comes down to it.

I had my 1st at home at the age of 34. 12 hours of labour and everything went fine. No stress of panic. Can make your own cups of tea and make midwives breakfast for something to do. Watched tv and stroked the cat, then got into my own bed after the midwives were gone. And very importantly, the midwives are all yours. They don't have to rush off. Am hoping for a home birth for number 2.
