General concernshome birth or hospital???
hi i pregnant with my 4th baby all my other labours where very straight foward my local maternaty unit has been closed down so iam considering a home birth however i have a high bmi. anyone eles had a home birth even with a high bmi???

sorry computer glitch. they only insist on hospital if you need shared care if you have had 4 normal labors you sound like a good candidate. It will depend on how many other women in your area are wanting home births one whether you get one NHS and all that. If you are medically fine no other health problems associated with your BMI and its what you want you should ask your midwife if you can have one.
hi hun i was told due to my bmi being over 30 a home birth would not be offered whether that was because it was my first dont know xxx
