2 more growth scans but no growth issues!

Hi sorry but I want to have a little rant. Had my GTT test today which wasnt the most pleasant experience and apart from the butcher who took my bloods wasnt the worst. I also had a growth scan as my mum had a thrombosis and my dad has diabetes - both of which can affect the babies growth. The baby is growing fine, there are no problems and the results of my thrombosis blood test checks are fine as well. Yet today, my consultant (not the normal one I see) has said that I still need to go back for 2 more scans. I know they are just trying to monitor it but its so frustrating. Why when there are/have been no growth issues do they still want to monitor it? Has anyone else experienced this? I asked the question today and there attitude seems to be well we can so why not. In total I would have had 7 scans before she is born! The baby has also moved, last week at my midwife check she was head down and now she is lying breech!! I only have 11 weeks to go and I sadly I cant wait to get to the finish line. Sorry to go on for so long. Michelle.

Hiya hun, when I was expecting my daughter I had 2 extra growth scans at 32 & 36 weeks due to having a high bmi! Even though there were no problems at the 32week scan I still had the 36week 1! Far from seeing it as a chore though I loved being able to c my baby again before she was born! I didn't really enjoy pregnancy so for me the scans were the best bit & I loved having to go for extra 1s! :) When Grace was born she was 6ib8 so far from the big baby I was told to expect!! :)
