im pregnant with my 1st baby and my mam has got me worry bout this bottle warning thats going on about the chemicals in the bottles does anyone know of a safe make of bottles i can use that isn't on the list of contaminated bottles?
hi, i was using dr brown's but because of the chemical bisphenol-A ive now ordered a load of born free bottles which are very similar to dr brown's. You can get them from bebeco or the born free website(babybornfree). They dont contain any chemicals, plus they do them in glass and also drinking cups. You can get all the extras too. I havnt got them yet but as my lil girl will be having bottles up2 a year thought it would be best to change to be on the safe side!
My son is 11 months and has been using Tommee Tippee bottles which we have found has go the chemical in. So we now use Asda own. They are just as good as the Tommee Tippee ones but for a newborn you would need to change the teats on them. My mum said that any bottles with a triangle and a number 7 next to it are the bottles with the chemical in. So look around for bottles without that.
Hi i have a nine week old son and i've just changed from Tommee Tippee to MAM bottles. I tried get some Dr Brown and BornFree bottles but found it quite difficult because they are american brands but the MAM bottles are easily to get hold of.
Chanelle xx
can i just suggest that people stop panicing, babies have been feeding from bottles with this chemical in for years and they have grown up to be strong healthy children, just make sure that your bottles are in good condition i.e no scratches
just remember these bottles have been through all kinds of tests and if they weren't safe then they wouldn't be able to sell them, if i remember correctly the study was american or canadian and we all know what they are like for making mountains out of molehills because they are too scared of being sued. the european and british standards are saying these bottles are safe so long as they are in good condition
hi ive got 5 kids an all of em av used the supposidly unsafe brands of bottles and there all well, healthy and have no side affects [my youngest likes to suck his foot but think thats just him lol]
