'Toughen up' cream for nipples?

Hi im hoping to breastfeed my baby soon (im 35wks) and after reading all your comments about cracked & sore nipples and how long a baby feeds for initially, i wondered if there is anything i can start putting on mine now to try 'toughen them up' in advance??

lansinoh is fantastic stuff. it's not cheap but it is just brilliant! i even use it on cracked hands and i have even put it on my top lip when i got really dry cracked lips from having a cold! what i will say though is that i started using it before my 2nd baby was born as i had been through cracked nipples etc with my first baby so wanted to prepare. it did help a bit but my nipples still cracked. nothing can prepare your boobs for breastfeeding so it may still happen but if you have got it on hand then at least you are prepared! make sure that when your baby arrives you put it on before and after every feed and in between if necessary.
