Feeding your new babyPlanning ahead
Hi ladies as the manic freak I am I'm planing on breastfeeding for as long as poss . However I'm thinking if I'm crap and can't do it even though I plan to try until my bits fall off lol is it worth taking cartons and bottles into hospital with me? And if I do that will the hosp sterilise the bottles between depending how long I'm in? I'm not giving birth in a hospital that provides nappies ect at birth anymore .
Natalie 23+4 xx
i personally wouldnt. you are unlikely to come up against any real problems that early on. the only challenges you will face will be technique and latching which every first time mum has simply because you havent breastfed before - a midwife will be on hand to help you. it can take up to 6 weeks to get breastfeeding successfully established in any event.
iv packed a box of pre bottled milk bought from boots.
Im not taking any milk in and im planning on breast feeding (didnt even think about taking nappies...... the hospital supplied these 15 yrs ago... my how things change! x
I'm suprised we don't have to supply our own bed and bedding at my hospital lol x
Hi congrats! My new baby was starving and cried & cried, cos it took 5 days for my milk to come in, i wish i had brought some formula in to hospital with me. i was trapped there for 3 days if i was c-section.
