Hiya girls, I to was also worried about what I can and can not eat throughout my pregnancy. I spoke to one of the experts on this site and they gave me this link:
http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/agesandstages/pregnancy/whenyrpregnant/
I have found it very useful and as it is the food standard agency it is reliable unlike many others online.
I hope this helps you :) xox
I used this site also....defo recommend x
Hiya, as long as you eat regularly and often to avoid sickness then you and your baby will be blossoming! You should avoid uncooked meats, fresh cheese e.g. stilton etc as the bacteria could harm your baby, you should always wash salads and fruit/veg before eating, avoid reheated foods or processed meats so I was told by my doctor but ham and cheese sarnies didn't do me any harm! Try and eat pleanty of well cooked fish, avoid coffee/tea and watch how much caffeine you have especially in chocolate etc. You shouldn't eat pate or shell fish, spicy foods etc but otherwise a healthy balanced diet little and often will do the trick. If I felt sick I had 2 gingernut biscuits or a few fizzy harrybo sweets for a sugar boost and ate probably about 6 small meals a day and I still didn't put loads weight on! Try to avoid fizzy drinks towards the end of your pregnancy as it gave me severe heartburn. : (
I hope all goes well and if you ever want to know anything else feel free to drop me an email : )
