Early Pregnancy trying to put together a "healthy plan"

Hi my name is Elli, I'm 22 and pregnant for the first time (only 5 weeks). I'm trying to get together a healthy lifestyle plan to follow throughout my pregnancy. And wanted to ask if there are any exercise regimes anyone would recommend me??

I normally eat a very balanced diet but the last few weeks I have been so exhausted and hungry all I want is chips and coke and junk food!! I would rather avoid putting on weight I can't loose after the birth and feel like I'm getting these syptoms so early eeep. Help :)

As far as exercise goes,it depends on how fit you were and how much exercise you mormally did before you were pregnant.Davina McCall did a dvd with exercise routine especially for pregnant women, the exercises are quite gentle. My midwife recommended walking and swimming as good exercise too.

sweet i was a fitness instructor for many yrs i have 4 daughters and am 38 weeks pregnant now with a lil boy.now if your very fit then some carry on but i never did due to having miscarriages,i lost quite a few at the gym doing too much,so i just carried on walking swimming etc,as for weight well it depends on genetic makeup,me being slim but muscly didnt help as you tend to put weight on and bulk, with each of my children i put 4 stone on but within 12 weeks after the birth it had all gone and i was back to 8-9 st i never ate rubbish food as i never have but when you are starving and your body is telling you to eat for your system and the baby its very hard,so i lived on baked potatoes cereal salads etc but i still put the weight on,i used to worry but i dont now as i know in 12 weeks i will be back to my 25 inch waist and my usual slim self, afterwards your not so hungry and your very busy it drops off you.so my point is eat healthy and do what exercise you can listen to your own body and dont push it and see how it goes,if you put a few pounds more on than youd like then make an effort after baby is born to do more walks etc it isnt that hard, good luck sweet
