well when you go to the docs or midwife they press into the tummy pretty hard to feel the baby and it seems safe for baby although my brianna did kick back with one doctor coz i think he pressed to hard so dont worry Good luck with everything

Hi, i'm a first time mum to i'm 27 weeks pregnange and my hubby's just the same he even tells me off for jiggerling my big belly just to makesure everythings ok. Baby will always pay you back if they don't like it (wait till the night when they get really active)!!!

Hiya, I'm 34w with 2nd baby - who's also very active. It won't hurt baby, so long as you're not Mike Tysson-esk & you should enjoy while you can. I know I'm gonna miss feeling my little guy when he's born! You can have a bit of fun as they get a bit bigger too. Try drumming your fingers or patting one area & you could get an 'oy, pack it in' style kick in return - mine often responds. Most fun was being strapped to a fetal monitor in hospital recently. My experience this time round is baby isn't a huge fan of constant pressure & tends to let you know, so you can visualise the respone we got to those elasticated straps!! Think I'm having an ultimate kickboxing champion!
Also, watch out for babys' hiccups - very repetitive blips in same area & again, if anything like mine, baby'll kick around in frustration too! My 1st was a hiccupping pro having a good 10 bouts a day!
Good luck!

trust me the little one will kick pack if it's not happy where or how hard it's being pressed. It'll be a lot harder than normal kicks. Just it's way of saying Oi get off I was comfy. My sister has had too and not a prob when she fels bump or with my hubby. My sister in law was the one to make the mistake. My little one does not like having it's head touched. and all though it's turned she thought she'd go near it and nearly got hit by me for the kick I got of little one. She's never done it again.

hi this is my first pregnancy & i just press as hard as i feel comfortable with!! my friend is a midwife too & i sometimes get her to feel my tummy and she presses really hard too, sometimes i gota tel her she is hurting me!
anyway, the baby is surrounded in so much fluid they never feel a thing.. as my mum says - we're made to feel the same so our babies dont have to :-D

My Husband Adrian Loves pressing firmly but being careful as he does so and he loves to feel the baby moving about!
Im about 30 weeks and baby is kicking and moving like a mule.
I would say let him press gently but firmly and enjoy babys movements.

hiya, you will hurt yourself by pressing too hard and not the baby. your baby is well protected by the amniotic fluid, so let him press you belly so that you feel comfortable. xx
