So Lonely

Hi,

i'm twenty one weeks and five days pregnant. My husband works away from home a lot and i havent seen him at all in the last month. He's on an oil rig and i can't contact him.

i'm feeling a bit down as all my friends have left now i'm having a baby they just don't care. Also my nana yesterday told me i had no purpose in life and i would be better not having a baby.

Me and my hubby have a great relationship and can't wait for our baby to arrive, it's just not having him here at the moment is making me so sad and my nana isnt helping. I think its my hormones thats making all this worse.

Can't believe your nana said that,,,,best give her a wide berth I think ! The most important job a woman can do is to become a Mummy, I had a really good career before my LO came along and do you know what, it means diddly squat to me now,,,,being a Mummy is far more important, well to me anyway, so YES, you do have a purpose !!! Its hard your hubby being away but you will see him soon, and yeh, your hormones do play havoc but honestly you will feel better soon. Have a word with your HV or GP to let them know how you're feeling. This site is brilliant so use "us" to help you and we'll keep your spirits up,,,,,you have a baby on the way, how fab is that ???

Hi Gemma
Dont let your nana upset you, people say things without thinking, just think it wont be long and your hubby will be home to look after you. I moved away from were all my family live quite a few years ago and now I am pregnant I really want to see them all, i imagine i will feel lonely too. Try and keep yourself busy and pamper yourself cause that always makes you feel better. Go to the lush shop and treat yourself to some nice smellies! Dont forget the internet stops the world from being a lonely place too. Take care and it wont be long xxxxxxxx

Hi Gemma,

Hope you feel better soon. Try not to worry about what other people say, sometimes people even those close to you say things that they don't mean. You have a lot to look forward to, the birth of your little buddle of joy. If you need a friendly chat just email me on annemotherof2@yahoo.co.uk

bye for now
Anne
