Changing moodsSo Grumpy
Please tell me this is normal. Im 34+4 months pregnant and I am so grumpy its untrue. I don't want to talk to anyone or see anyone. My other half must have patience of a saint he cant do enough for me. He will do house work and offer to cook but this isn't good enough and after I have screamed at him and blamed him for well everything I then just cry. If im not grumpy im crying. Im really fed up and I don't even know why, I want my friends and family to stop being so nice to me because when i am sound of mind and normal I feel so guilty its untrue. Then that makes me cry all over again. Can some one please say this wont last long and I will return back to my usual self. :(
Hi, its normal to be over emotional and short tempered in pregnancy because of hormones and obviously towards the end you are feeling tired, achy, can't sleep etc which can make it worse - but its also quite common to get depression in pregnancy. So if you are feeling persistently low then it would be worth mentioning to your midwife and gp so they can support you and keep an eye on you after the birth as well.
Maybe you have some worries that you haven't spoken to your partner about like finances or coping with a newborn and how it will affect your relationship, there can be loads going round in your head even when a baby has been planned and is very much wanted. Just be kind to yourself and give yourself little treats to lift your spirits like a nice bubble bath or favourite dvd or book and choccy, and tell your partner that when you go off on one you don't mean it and you still love him!
Hope that you are feeling better soon but do go and see you gp if it continues xxx
