I'm not 100% sure. But my midwife said that the next time I have a baby it will be a planned section at 38 weeks. But I'm from Scotland, and it might have something to do with your circumstances. x

I'm in Lancashire and we're having to have our second section in two weeks time when I'll be 39 weeks. Round here they rarely do it earlier than that unless the baby seems to be huge. That said, I'm also measuring two weeks ahead of schedule so am a bit frustrated they've left it so late as I'm sure she's ready to come out now!! ;o)

i had an eletive c-section with my 4th, i had mine at 38wks because 2 of my boys
were born at 38wks.
i think they like to do it aound 39wks, if you do go into labour beforehand go straight to
hosp.

Hi, Im not sure if it depends on previous pregnancies but i ahve hear from mymidwife that they plan to go ahead at 39 weeks - hope this helps

i asked my midwife yesterday about this and she said 39 weeks, but she did ask why i had to have an emergency c-section with my daughter. i think they aim for 39 weeks, but if they feel the ned to do it a week early they will. i had high blood pressure for the last 5-6 weeks with my daughter and had to be sent for a day assessment twice, 1 at 37 weeks and 1 at 40+1, i didnt make it to the last one though, went into labour instead! xx

I'm having a C-Section this time round and like many have said the hospitals plan for 39 weeks unless there is a risk to baby or yourself. x

I had emergency section with my 1st so opted for a planned section 2nd time, I was 39+2 when I had my lickle boy.
He was & still is quite dry (hes 5wks now) and they reckon they got my dates wrong and he was actually late!!!! good job I didnt go early.

im 36 weeks and my baby is breech and he seems further down does that mean that i will have to have a c section cos im terrafied of needles

hiya im 32 weeks now with my 5th child an now found out he is breach and need to have a c-section i am so scared because i have panic attacks what shall i do

hi , i have my third tomorow mornin i will be 39 weeks ,it used to be 38 but now they like to leave you as long as possible if you go into labour before 39 weeks they will still give you a c-section xx
