Caesarean section

bleeding scar

hi i had a section 3 week ago and my scar is bleeding on 1 side im just wondering if this has happened to any1 else and if so why did it happen

Yes it happened to me,,,,,,it was bleeding one end and seeping puss ( sorry) at the other,,,,,,I had an infection. Basically I was doing too much and I made it burst, I went the docs and got antibiotics and it cleared up.
Go the docs and take it easy, you've probably put pressure on it !

hi can i ask you how did u find having a c section and how was you afterwards etc? like moving around to feed and bath baby a few hours after having it/ im due to go in for my 1st c section [had 4 by normal delivery] and im pretty scared lol. x

thanks joanne1969 went to the docs and i have got infection been given antibiotics and told to take thing easy i just felt that good after my section thought i could do evrything

hi chelle08 i was in a similar posistion to you i had 3 prev normal births (3rd deg tears etc)
had elective 3 mths ago, to be honest it wasnt as bad as i thought, although i was in 5 days as baby was in special care. was up and down the stairs to see him in scbu,
within 13 hrs although was up on ward before that. came home to look after my 4 children
singlehanded. i didnt get a chance to feed baby straight away as he was taken to
special care 1 hr old . dont be scared you will be fine, you be reassured all the way by theatre staff. i was scared but found it all ok. good luck hun hope all goes well & enjoy looking after 5, hugs xxxx

hi ive had 2 sections and with the second one my scar opened up at one side and puss was leaking out basically it was down to doing way too much when i got home just take it easy make sure you make healthcare professionals aware of it tho .
