hi. i am 29 weeks pregnant with my second baby (another girl) and we have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter.

you will find a name you agree on - dont worry about that, sometimes you just need to take a step back! you have 11 weeks until you are due, and you then have 6 weeks after birth to register the birth so definitely dont worry! it would be awful if you made a decision that you later regret!

two ways round this:

1) dont make a decision now, have all your favourite names (for either of you) in your rmind and see what you feel when he is born - it is surprising how it can make your change your mind even if you thought you were settled on a name; or

2) try making a list of all the names which are possibilities - it doesnt matter whether you like it jointly or not, if it is a name which either of you like, then write it down. then spend a couple of days using that name in conversation and in just day to day life and see what you feel about that name at the end of the few days. that is sometimes interesting how that turns out! before we knew this baby was going to be a girl, we loved jessica and were confident that we would call her that, but having found out it is a girl and used the name in conversation etc we completely changed our minds! with our first baby, we thought we were going to call her Olivia Rose, but when she was born my partner looked at her and said it didnt feel that was right and the name changed - she is Olivia Emily!

Hi, my little Man is called Oscar Fredrick. We really struggled for boys names. I liked Herbert but no one else did!!! I also like Max. I agree with Livi's mum, sometimes you just change your mind anyway. My little girl is called Emily Louise, we were going to call her Grace, but after a very ungraceful entrance into the world we decided it just didn't fit! We are glad we didn't call her Grace as she really is the least graceful little girl ever.

I found boys names more difficult than girls even before i knew i was having a boy. My son is called Oscar Jozef Mons, he's got 2 middle names. I like Seth, Charlie, James, Harry, Mason, Joe, Felix.

Hi, just gonna copy and paste my reply to another lady about boys names, we had loads of boys names but struggled with girls! Luckily had a boy though lol :-)))

I actually like names that have the same initial as the surname, my son is maximus isaac and our surname begins with m too, we thought it sounded like a james bond name lol!!!
I like Lachlan, Aiden, Elliott, Finlay, Mackenzie (I'm half scottish and 1/8 irish!)
On my boys shortlist were Lucas, Quinn, Thomas, Riley, Oliver, Marco, Miles, and I also liked Noah and Dylan. :-))xx

We have a friend who has 2 boys both with what i consider unusual names. They are Corey and Devron . You can go on other web sites that list a whole bunch of names from all different nationalities, you may find some ideas there. We have decided to call our baby after his grandads, a little boring maybe but has made the whole family very happy....

Hi there my little boy is Jamie so not very unusual lol. We have a friend who has 4 boys which i think have 'different' names. They are Aydn, Cayden, Bhroden and Denan. I have always found it harder to pick boys names. My son was gonna be taylor untill 2 days b4 he was born and I had a sudden change of mind lol
