Baby equipmentNappies
Hi,
I was in sainsbury's today looking at all the baby things, me and my partner was looking at the different brands of nappies, the difference in price is amazing. I was just wondering if anybody had any reviews on them .. 'sainsbury's little ones for new born 4lb to 11lb'
Any help would be great.
Thanks
i always use either sainsburys or tesco own nappies (i tend to vary which one i shop at). i dont rate pampers at all - with both of mine they have leaked but i have never had any trouble with sainsburys or tesco own nappies
Thanks , there on offer if you need any at sainburys :)
I've heard pampers weren't that good. Also do you recommend buying a size bigger than baby needs so that their not to tight?
it depends sometimes buying a size bigger can mean that the nappy leaks i wouldnt buy the newborn size in bulk but just a few small packs thats what i usually do it means you dont end up with nappies that are too small, i dont like pampers either ive mainly used asda, sainsbury's,huggies and tesco's nappies all of which i think are great!! xx
I have only brought 2 packs of newborn... and prob wont need any more... I hear Asda are good nappies, and also Tesco...
Pampers used to be good yrs ago (my daughter is 15yrs now) but have heard they not so good now... dont know about huggies nappies... also Boots nappies r supposed to be really good too..
I dont know if its everywhere but Asda Nottingham is having baby week from Monday (16.1.12) and things like newborn nappies are as low as _1.00 a pack (i got some last time) along with outher baby stuff discounted xx
no, dont buy a bigger size - it will make them leak. the sizes overlap so you dont ever need to do that.
as annie said, dont buy bulk of newborn - i probably used about 4 packs before needing size 1s for my second baby (now 10 wks old).
i had 2 packs of huggies newborn as they were on offer and they were fine, but i havent bought them since so i dont know whether the other sizes are ok.
We use sainsbury's all the time now, think there really good. Weve bulked up while they're on sale :) lol, but my daughter is a lot older so we know theyll last.
i agree with all the above. when my oldest daughter was born i got pampers because being a first time mum they were the only name i new. they leaked and also the seams ripped and the stuff inside poured out. on more than one occasions i was scared she would eat it - pretty bad!
so i buy tescos own they r great never leaked and so much cheaper too! also i like lidls own r good too but they dont do the in between sizes like like 4+ they only do 4 then 5 so when my lil girls r in between sizes its quite hard to get agood fit.
Hi, I found with both my children that pampers newborn were by far the best and softest, and then as they got older we got leakage and then changed to different brands - with my last baby I switched to asda little angels and they are brilliant, really absorbent and very soft. Tesco ones are good too but I prefer asda. Could be a bit of trial and error to be honest, I would always get pampers newborn and then after that it really depends on the shape of your baby as to which ones will fit best, mainly around the leg. :-))xx
Tesco have a baby event on from 16th Jan to 5th Feb where loads of stuff is on offer. Also sainsburys have one too which finishes on the 17th Jan and alot of nappies, wipes food.... is a third or half price. Not sure if all areas so best check on internet first
I like pampers baby dry at night, they really are good but for daytime nappies I've used pampers simply dry, pampers active fit, huggies and lidl nappies and they have all been good. When my baby was newborn we used pampers and had no problems with them.
