Baby equipmentDisposable or washable nappies?????
Hi ladies. I'm not sure what nappies to use when baby comes. Has anyone used washable to give me some advice and does it work out a lot cheaper as you have to wash them on a hot wash, how often do you put a wash on? every day?
i havent used washable nappies but just wanted to say that i had heard a while ago that they did not work out a lot cheaper or a lot more environmentally friendly due to the water and electricity that is involved in washing them. i dont know anybody who has used washable nappies other than my mum when me and my sister were babies and although i am certainly sure that washable nappies have come on in the last 30 years she said that it was a right faff keeping up with it all! as i say, i dont use washable nappies and i have two children (a 4yr old and an 11 week old) and my washing machine is on 6 out of the 7 days a week to keep up with the clothes washing without adding nappies on to that....
