Your babyvery clingy baby
hes nearly 7 months old and has started to cry as soon as he sees me leave the room!
what do you do?
Hi, its normal for them to get seperation anxiety about this time. Should grow out of it. All you can do really is reasure him that you will be back! I always just say mummy will be back and try not to be away for too long. My little man is 8 months and is going throught he same phase. I go back to work end of Jan and keep having horrible thought of him crawling after me sobbing on the first day. They will soon realise that when you leave the roon you don't disappear forever! My daughter was the same but was fine by the time she was 9 months.
he has always been fine about it but now its that bad that i have to leave the door open to the kitchen when im washing up so he can still see me, he cries so much but as soon as i step back into the livingroom it stops like a switch and he carries on playing! dont understand why he cries when he can still see me tho?
Because he is clever and realises that it probably gets you to go over to him for a cuddle!! Whilst i'm out of the room my little boy will sit happily playing with or cuddling his daddy, but as soon as he sees me in the kitchen or hears my voice he sobs. As soon as I go over to him he stops and giggles - little devil. They know how to tug out heart strings. It would be really nice to be able to go to the toilet without having someone watching!!
is he old enough to learn 'no' yet?? lol i say it all the time but he just laughs at me lol too cute but suppose it wont be as cute when hes 15!!
Apparently not until they are 12 months. My little one keeps taking things off the Christmas tree. When I say no he laughs and crawls off from me. As soon as I turn my back he crawls back to the tree and steals something else!! Like you said, very cute. It is really hard not to laugh at him but I don't want him to think I like him doing it!
