first, rusks are not suitable until babies are over 6 months old because rusks contain gluten and babies are not allowed gluten until that due to the risk of serious allergies.
secondly, babies should ideally not be given any solid food at all until 6 months old. certainly dont give any solid food younger than 17 weeks. weaning before 6 months increases the risks of serious digestive problems and allergies, and weaning before that age should only be done if it is totally necessary.
thirdly, rusks should ideally be avoided altogether - even the reduced sugar varieties still contain a lot of sugar.
