Young mumsBottle Feeding
My son is on cow and gate milk, on the hungrier baby one. The thing is he is still hungry after his feeds. Can anyone tell me if there is a better milk which will fill him up more. And is it ok for me to change his milk now, he's 9 weeks now.
Thanks,
try sma is great
Ok, Thanks. Which one is the first one of sma?
I used cow and gate for hungrier babies and i thought it was great.
Try adding an oz or two more into each feed.
try aptamil it is great i use it and he will stop feeling hungery after meals because it is used in close work with breast milk he will love it even if your breast feeding it will not hurt to change
do not ever add more scoops than water 2 ur babys bottles this is seriously harmful just try and offer more milk x
yes hungry milk cow and gate is good milk. do not try changing brands just offer more milk or feed more often. he may be going through a growth spurt at the minute. And i think it is very cheeky anyone coming on a cow and gate forum and suggesting SMA
i went through this with my daughter... i put her on sma progress and gave her more milk and it worked . goodluck with whatever u chose!
I had the same problem with my son i put him sma but it just made him sick my m8 told my that 50% of babys or sick on sma it same thing to do with wats in it keep him on cow and gate just give him an oz or two more
Hi i wouldn't ever recommend using SMA as it really can make babies more sicky, so many people i know have said the same thing. I use cow and gate No 1. My midwife said it was best not to change as it can confuse baby as their digestive system is only just used to the milk you are using now their system is so immature, i was thinking of using the one for hungrier babies as well. Anyway i think just topping him up with another ounce or so should do the trick, and i know it might be wasteful but just make up extra in each bottle and if it doesn't get used throw it away.
I also find that sometimes my daughter just has wind and thinks she is hungry, i just wind her for a long period and it sometimes works.
My son is 3 now and i had the same with him as well, he just thought he was hungry as he had wind or wanted to suck on somehing, i was glad when he found his thumb! Wish my daughter would as the dummy falling out is a pain!
