What about giving birth frightens you? Is it because you dont know what to expect, or
is it the pain? Or what happens during and after?? If you have any questions, fire away - i have a 17 month old daughter and i am hoping to try to fall pregnant again later in the year.

Honestly try not worry about your birth and labour. Mine was the ebst day of my life and i gave birth to twins naturally. I had gas and air and epidural and i would defiantely have them again but i just felt so much in control over the whole situation and my midwife was fantastic as well. I even had to be taken to theatre to have forceps but even then there was nothing to worry about your in good hands just cherish the moment it will last forever

i had a water birth at the age of 20 and only needed gas & air, and i had wasted my whole pregnancy panicking about what actually turned out to be the best day of my life, i feel like crying with happiness even remembering it cos it was that special. Try to relax and have faith in your body so you can enjoy the run-up to the special day. Most births are obviously painful but go relatively smoothly, you can cope with it,our bodies are designed for mainly this purpose as women. you will look back on it as the most amazing thing im sure, my midwife told me that between the ages of roughly 17-22 are the optimum ages for good, problem-free births so you will do great. all the luck in the world hun let us know how you get on x x

Hiya, i was in a different boat, for some reason i actually looked forward to the birth of my daugther. I used a tens machine (which made a huge difference!) and gas and air. The birth was an experiance i will never forget, such a memorable event! I didn't know what i was having, so the surprise was a bonus. I just kept thinking of the final labour when i got to see my baby and hold her. 24 hours flew by for me! It's no-way near as bad as what you think!!! Hiya, i'm a first time mum and i was the same really scared of the birth, mainly because i didn't know what to expect but it's not as bad as some people make it out to be with there horror stories, gas and air is fantastic and the midwifes know how to help so just listen to them and be honest with them if you need help ask that's what their there for. Good luck x x

Im 20 and i had my baby just with gas and air. I didnt make a birth plan and i didnt even think about the birth much until i went into labour, then everything just happened and i didnt really have time to think about it.
I think it depepnds on the individual but labour was a far better experience than i thought it was gonna be. Just remember that millions of women have been through this and its a natural process. Im sure you'll be fine.
