Working mums & going back to workis it 26wks.
when i had my daughter i kept up to date the weeks i had off work and returned a mth earlie.now im not sure what week im on,i left work on 22 dec but 2 weeks after that was holiday weeks.do they count.this is worring to me because i said im not going back till 5th aug thats means i wont have any cash for 2mths because i will get payed end of aug,is anybody eles the same
Hi, as far as i know your leave is not counted within the 26 weeks. So your 26 weeks start on 5 jan til 5 july (by my working). This means that if your not going backtil 5 aug you will have a month without pay. However, i strongly suggest you contact your HR department or your boss to confirm, please dont just take my advice. Hi, I work in HR and at our company your maternity leave for pay calculations would have started on 6th January, therefore your 26 paid weeks would end on 6th July. Maternity pay is always calculated starting from a Sunday. Hope this helps although it does mean you will go a month without pay. x
