Im not working yet but desperately seeking work. So tired of being indoors 24 - 7 so now seeking career to support family and to set a good example but no one is employing me even after searching for at least 4 months. But the most funny thing about it, is that I had interviews or chances of employment when it wasn't the best time like for example when I got into labour it was also the time when I had missed an interview!!!! and also I got a really good job offer from boots but had to turn it down coz my baby wouldn't stay with anyone else other than me.

Hi Ladies
I'm working and have been since my boy was 6mths, hes now 32mths!
I hated going back but realistically I had to. For those of you that are dreading it just ensure that whoever is caring for your little one that you can contact them whenever you need to. and if you feel the need to cry, just do it, cus you do miss your role as a mummy and i think the secret fear in us all is that our babies will forget us throughout the day or love their carer more, well your baby will cope fine without you ,it tends to be us that can't cope without them, but when you're back in the work flow you get back into the swing of things and each day gets easiler and evenings are a pleasure snuggled up to your baby, believing that you need to give them a days love in the few hours before bedtime!lol,
Go with what makes you happy and you'll be fine.
Good luck x

Ps Nikki88, it sounds like a break in routine, which isn't just about times but also people that our babies have got used to. If you are comfort before bedtime then its a big adjustmentfor your bubba as well but will get better x

im due back in august but my little girl is going through a stage where all she wants is me. My mum and boyfriends mum are meant to be having her 1 afternoon each a week. But all she does is moan and cry when im not in the room. Both nan are very much in her life but i don't feel she knows them well enough to stay with them.

I've been back three weeks now and yes am missing my little man. However, I know that without my salary, he wouldn't have his own room, holidays, new clothes and all the other things two salaries can buy. You get to be respected working female and a loving mum when at home. I recommend a childminder for young babies, it's home from home and they are registered with Ofsted so safe too.

Hi i went back to work in april at first i was dreading it and the first day went slow. kept wondering if he was ok. but once you get back into being there and you know your lo is ok it`s fine. i just think of it as my little break away. still now i worry but he`s in safe hands and i`m only on the end of the phone if something isn`t ok. it has helped as he now will go to grandad when he comes round and not so clingy with me or his dad.
